E3 is done and over with, but we recorded almost an hour and a half of more gameplay for you guys (more after the jump below). Although Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is still a WORK-IN-PROGRESS, Aris and I got to play it at E3 the past couple of days and share our thoughts on our main characters in these ‘mini Level Up Your Game’ segments. Hope you guys enjoy them:

So I spent most of my day 1 at E3 just playing Tekken Tag Tournament 2! The game is very similar to Tekken 6 with the addition of all the tag functionality that is very fun to play around with. I need to experiment more with the tag/juggle system before I understand it fully. Definitely takes some getting used to.
Here are the changes I noticed for Law:
-f,f+4 (banana peel) notation has been changed to d/f+3+4
-Legend kick notation is now dss f+4 not dss 3+4
-Now dss 3+4 is just like Law’s regular 3+4
-2,2,1 is no longer NCc
-uf+3,4 (fake flip, kick) no longer has the d+2,3 back flop launch. It launches straight up like it used to (so we can do 4,u+3 instead of b+2 again)
-DSS Autoparry window is small again (a welcome nerf imo)
-Running 3 can be quick back rolled, but if its not, then db+3 is still guaranteed after.
Now for the possibly bad news. After sitting in with Aris from AvoidingThePuddle during his interview with Harada and Michael Murray it seems that things aren’t looking good for a USA release of the Tekken Tag Tournament 2 arcade machine. This is not 100% confirmed yet but we hope to find out more in the coming days. Stay tuned.
Looks like Tekken:Blood Vengeance will be hitting theaters in 3D on July 26, 2011 for one day only. Namco Bandai has partnered up with Fathom Events to make this possible. Check out this page on Fathom’s website for more information on which theaters around you will be participating in this special event and when you can buy tickets.
The movie will also include a “20 minute special featuring interviews with the TEKKEN Project Director and Screenwriter.” Enter in your zipcode to search and find the theaters around you and schedule it with your friends!
