Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Unlimited – USA Arcade Release?

by Rip

ArcadeHeroes is reporting that Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Unlimited will be at Amusement Expo 2012 and that this indicates that it will have a USA arcade release. The 3 day event will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada between March 14 and 16. Its hard to say if ArcadeHeroes is making an assumption or if their report is on good authority but I have yet to receive official confirmation one way or another. Having the location tests a few months ago and now having the game featured at a USA arcade expo seems like a good sign of things to come though. Will update this post if I hear anything new.

I think TT2 will be the game that gets me back into Tekken. Super stoked to hear that it's coming stateside.

Awesome news, wonder if Canada will get any love.

this is actually exciting, im hoping this is like the old school tekken tag game i loved tekken 2,3,tag,4,5,,,,,,6 not so much but hopefully it will set off that spark and drive i miss the old school arcade days =( another great game too use that lovely beautiful fightstick on =] *hint *hint guys lol

Like someone said, too bad Canada probably won't get it. :(

This had better better come to Canada because there are actually some good arcades in Toronto.

Really want to try this game.

I fear that TTT2's complexity will greatly hurt the future of tekken in the US

arcades need to make a resurrection! i wonder if this will make it to around nor cal?

TTT on arcades... Nice, I guess

This game looks really awesome, too bad i live in Canada!

I no haz arcade anywherez :'(

Anyone in NYC know of any arcades? I have played TTT2 in Malaysia and it was awesome!

God, No one cares about the middle east anymore! U_U

Chances are, if you're not east or west coast, good luck ever seeing a decent arcade again.

Wonder where in Namcos pipeline is Tekken x Street Fighter

I'm sure Arcade UFO'll get their hands on one... ... Now if only I could find the time and money to make trips out there.

Domestic violence punch!

Man, I haven't seen a Tekken machine in an arcade in years!

When are you guys gonna post a new episode for LUYG? Some new strategies and whatnot.

Aar..arc...arcade..?? What is this 'arcade' you speak of?? I've never seen one in my whole life!!!

YES!!!, Now the arcade will be less Street Fighter and more variety, started up Blazblue again since the Street Fighter section is usually full

I bet South MS won't get one. Our arcade scene from New Orleans to Mobile has been little to non-existent since Hurricane Katrina back in '05. We make due with the crew we had before then, but it's a bit tough finding new blood to join our scene. My hope is that New Orleans somehow comes across a cabinet.

TTT 2U is some Awesome stuff..!! :D Will be fun playing on the MadCatz Arcade Stick..!! ^_^

As much as I miss going to the arcade to play Tekken, I may have to do a bit of traveling to get to one of those TTT2 machines :\

Hope a few of these find there way over to the east side.

I can't imagine they would actually spend money on a US release, or that any arcades would knowing that the console version will be out in less than 9 months, unless they have a different and cheaper pcb that they let arcade owners chuck into their t6 cabinets or something...

I'd be hype, but Montana arcades (all 2 of them) are excited they have tekken 5 and mvc2 machines. sadly can't expect anything new soon :(

console release is still a long way to go; wish this came to Canada though

I really hope they break TTT2U to American arcades. I don't like Tekken, but it's a good game and we need more good games in our arcades. Nothing like playing in an arcade.

I can't remember the last time I saw a genuine Arcade.

I hope my local arcade gets one. They used to have really crappy buttons and sticks, but now they replaced all their cabinet controls. All their fighting cabinets have either high quality happ or sanwa parts. I'm so glad they didn't let their arcade die.

I'm lucky that my local round 1 has tekken tag 2 arcade cabinets :)

lol where do you live?!

Hopefully this brings relevance back to Tekken.

I hope so. I think the 2v1 mode has potential to make things more interesting to spectators. Just have to hope the balance holds up. If tournament players end up sticking to just 1v1 though then I'd be concerned.

my city needs an arcade like super arcade

Every county needs an arcade like Super Arcade

GET HYPE FOR THE IRON FIST!

I would be surprised if Super Arcade doesn't get it

I can't wait to try out the game on console. If only I won that sf x tekken arcade stick?

I used to have Tekken 3 way back when, but now I'm really into Street Fighter IV, so this looks like it'll be KICK. ASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not a huge Tekken fan, but I'm definitely going to play this game. Tekken Tag was one of my favorites back in the day.

Not really into 3d fighters but this looks kinda fun. Might give it a try if it gets picked up over here.

The first tekken game I played was Tekken 6 and that game was awesome. I can't wait for TT2.

Well, considering the only "arcade" I'm aware of in my area is Xanadu, I don't think I'll be getting to play this anytime soon. :(

Wish my town's arcade didn't close up ;_;
