Level Up Your Game – Tekken Tutorials and News –

It’s Like a Bird’s Claw with Lots of Flames in Deutschland!

New guy here!  I’m TalonFyre and I’ll be reviewing the occasional gaming-related gear that happens to appear through the LUYG endeavors.  I’m also the resident PC gaming aficionado so I’ll also be posting news related to that scene.  As a bit of background, I’ve been gaming since ’92 across many different platforms (software and hardware).  Being a computer science major and a general tech geek, I’ll be providing an often-too-technical view in my posts but hopefully, intelligent and semi-entertaining content.

As for the reviews, I’m told that the direction we want to go is LUYG-focused.  As in, literally, does the gaming gear level up your game?  Of course, I’ll have to talk about other aspects that most common reviews also cover, but the final verdict of a product will hinge on whether or not it will improve your technique or give you any advantage.

What else is there to say?  I guess I will go through my gaming history at this point.  I think the best way for gamers to get to know each other are from what you’ve played in the past.  Then for more detail, out of what you’ve played, what you were really in to.  Most of you are probably here for Tekken-related news, or at least fighting game related news.  So here we go, a non-stop in-paragraph listing of all the fighting games I can recall ever playing with a * next to those I actually spent some time with (and no, this is not in chronological order).

Mike Tyson’s Punch Out!!, Double Dragon, Double Dragon II, Street Fighter II*, Street Fighter II Turbo, Super Street Fighter II, Killer Instinct, Mortal Kombat, X-Men Children of the Atom*, X-Men vs. Street Fighter, Marvel vs. Capcom, Rival Schools, Street Fighter EX, Tekken 2, Tekken 3*, Tekken Tag Tournament*, Tekken 4*, Tekken 5, Tekken 6, Super Smash Bros., Super Smash Bros. Melee, One Must Fall: Battlegrounds, Dead or Alive 2*, Dead or Alive 3, Samurai Shodown, Dynasty Warriors, Soul Calibur, Soul Calibur 2*, Soul Calibur 3, Street Fighter 4*, Super Street Fighter 4*.

I’m sure I’m missing some obscure ones, but there you go!  If anyone cares to know, we can walk through the FPS, strategy, and racing lists some other time.  Look forward to an upcoming review for the Tritton AX PRO headset.
