Lately theres been a lot of debate about Solo mode being overpowered in Tekken Tag 2 Unlimited. We haven’t really seen a lot of examples of crazy damage in Tag mode though. Both of these examples show Steve wall combos with rage mode activated. The first example is Tag mode, second is Solo mode, so its no wonder that its a death combo in 1v2 mode. The title of the video is Tekken 6 Mishima Extreme Hardcore Combos, and it pretty much delivers exactly that. I love me some OTGF combos so that Heihachi combo at 2:34 is SICK. Be sure to check out DietyDevil‘s youtube account to see his other vids.
Now that the game has been released there have been a bunch of vids coming out from both ShintairikuKumagaya and TekkenReplays. Here a couple, but be sure to check out their channels for a lot more. I haven’t been keeping up with the international scene for this game as much since we haven’t had it here, but the skill level is so much higher than I expected it to be. People have found some interesting ways of tagging out to minimize damage when necessary. Lots of cool new customizations in these vids as well. More vids after the jump
The free update for arcades has been released and Tekken Tag 2 Unlimited is now available for all arcades that had the original version. The Japanese Tekken-Net site has a full change log listed for all characters. Click here for Google translated versions of the changelog. People on TekkenZaibatsu are going through and posting their translations in English here. If the English version of the translations officially go up I’ll update this post with it as well. So far though, it seems like Alisa and Ling got a lot of buffs. Doesn’t seem to be any completely new moves, but there are new properties to a lot of moves. Ling’s ss+3, Jack’s debugger and Bryan’s snake edge are all homing moves now. Lots of new customizations as well. Looks like damage hasnt changed since the vids I put up from Amusement Expo, which probably means that damage is WAY too high for solo vs team. Pics and live stream after the jump!

The official Tekken-Net site has revealed that the update for Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Unlimited will go live on March 27th, 2012. Thats right, only 4 more days before Japan gets it. While this isn’t necessarily the date that all regions will get it, I would expect that all regions will have it relatively soon after. If you’ve been keeping up with recent posts and our Youtube channel, then you know that there is a good chance the USA will also have an arcade release for the game as well. Fingers crossed that it isn’t too far out!

As I explained previously, there weren’t many competitive players around, so I ended up playing against the computer a bit. Ran through the game with Paul then Law in solo mode.
