Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Unlimited – USA Arcade Release?

ArcadeHeroes is reporting that Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Unlimited will be at Amusement Expo 2012 and that this indicates that it will have a USA arcade release. The 3 day event will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada between March 14 and 16. Its hard to say if ArcadeHeroes is making an assumption or if their report is on good authority but I have yet to receive official confirmation one way or another. Having the location tests a few months ago and now having the game featured at a USA arcade expo seems like a good sign of things to come though. Will update this post if I hear anything new.

Qudans Playing Tekken Tag 2

More videos of Qudans playing Tekken Tag 2 are coming out of Korea. For those of you who don’t know him, Qudans is a legendary Mishima player from Korea who was dominant during the Tekken 5 series. Rumor was that he had some kind of carpal tunnel injury from his 12 hour a day training sessions, but it appears he’s doing better okay enough to get some games in again! Capcom Unity Blog just announced the Street Fighter x Tekken launch party, which is happening in Los Angeles, California.  Here are the details:

Launch day is nearly upon us, and that means a big ol’ party to celebrate the release of Street Fighter X Tekken. If you’re in the LA area and enjoy punching virtual faces, get your physical face to Majestic Hills on March 1.

Cross Assault Begins! #TeamTekken

If you have no idea whats going on – Cross Assault is an internet reality show featuring 5 Street Fighter players going up against 5 Tekken players in a battle for $25,000. There will be challenges and eliminations daily this week so tune in! The top 4 will be flown to Final Round to determine the winner. Lets go #TeamTekken!

PS Vita Street Fighter x Tekken – 12 Additional Characters

Capcom announced that the PS Vita version of Street Fighter x Tekken will have 12 extra characters (in addition to the Vita exclusive Cole, Kuro, Toro, Pacman, and Megaman)! Six from the Street Fighter side and six from the Tekken side. For the Street Fighter side there is Guy, Cody, Dudley, Elena, Sakura and Blanka. For the Tekken side we have Alisa Bosconovitch, Bryan Fury, Christie Monteiro, Jack, Lars Alexandersson and Lei Wulong! The announcement also mentions that the game will have lots of DLC available so expect these characters to show up as DLC in the future. Can’t wait to see how they put Lei in the game and super psyched to see Bryan make the cut. The PS Vita version of the game is scheduled for release this fall. Also, they mention that there will be $500,000 for a series of tournaments to mark Street Fighter’s 25th anniversary!
