What happens when you take one of the most die-hard offline/arcade players, put them up against the 2011 USA WCG Online champion, throw in Steve Scott – and leave everything uncut and uncensored.. FIND OUT BELOW! For those of you who don’t know – WCG USA 2011 was a total fail – the entire tournament was online and there was no offline finals. I thought it would be interesting to see what would happen in a long set (first to 10) between an online veteran and an offline veteran. The results may surprise you..
Famitsu has confirmed that Algol and Edge Master will return in Soul Calibur 5. I like how the oldest dude in Soul Calibur makes his return in Soul Calibur 5 where there is a big jump in time. Always cool to see characters return though. I expect there will be a lot of character reveals incoming as we lead up to the release of the game at the end of January.
Separately, they also have shown customizations that allow your character to look like Harada/Heihachi, but also to have DevilJin/Devil Kazuya moves (ewgf, tgf throw, laser throw?). Pretty neat, more pictures after the jump
Its been awhile since we’ve seen a Street Fighter x Tekken reveal, but Capcom is back with another CGI trailer. This time around they introduce Asuka – and Lili’s there as well. Chun Li / Cammy vs Lili / Asuka – Capcom knows how to slowly tease their fan base. Now reveal Law / Paul!!! I want to Pandora deathfist somebody! Gameplay after the jump – Looks like her cross art might start from a counter
Namco Bandai is live streaming more of Soul Calibur 5 direct from Japan. Daishi Odashima is back and most of it is in japanese again, but Utoh is speaking some English! If you trouble getting it to play, click High and set it to Low. Check it out:
This past weekend we hosted the Tekken Tag 2 tournament at SoCal Regionals. I had a blast and cant wait for this game to hit USA in full force. Top 8 Results and much more individual matches after the jump:
Tomorrow is SoCal Regionals and Level Up Your Game will be running the Tekken Tag Tournament 2 tournament! WE GOOOOT YOUUU! Only a portion of the tournament will be streamed and it is scheduled for 12pm-1:45pm PST on the secondary stream. If you’re in the Southern California area, I suggest coming down and checking it out in person as it’s only a $5 spectator fee that will also get you into the tournament. There will also be extra Tekken Tag 2 setups available for casuals all day long. Soul Calibur 5 will also be available to play.
Signups end at 10am and there’s a 64 man cap so get there early! Most, if not all of Socal’s best Tekken players will be in attendance, including: Kane, JustFrameJames, MYK, Aris, Rip, Cynnik, Rickstah, WC Galo and moooooore. WE GOT YOU!
Slowly but surely there has been an increase in findings of glitchy behavior in Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Prologue (see previous glitches). This time around, GuC11 share’s his findings in one short video. Its unknown at this point whether these glitches occur only within Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Prologue or if they are present in the arcade version of Tekken Tag Tournament 2 as well. On the bright side, none of these are particularly game breaking…yet? Hopefully Namco is looking at these and patching accordingly!
